ABSTRACT
This study uses the “integrative model” as proposed by Colquitt, LePine, and Wesson (2010) as a guide to examining sports organizations and the corresponding success level that a particular team may or may not encounter (Colquitt, LePine, & Wesson, 2010, p. 6). This practicum also seeks to find whether or not organizational behavior is a major contributor to performance within a sports team. The goal is to determine how performance of the players and the organization as a whole is affected by the organizational behavior of the sports teams. Data was collected and examined to test the impact that effective organizational behavior has on an athletic team at the college and professional level. The findings will be used to suggest implications for the effects of organizational behavior on performance in teams in other organizational settings.
