BULLYING IN THE WORKPLACE: DOES IT EXIST IN UNITED STATES ORGANIZATIONS

ABSTRACT
Over the past several decades, strides have been made in the fight against discriminatory
practices in the workplace, such as bullying. This study elaborates on the potential cost of
bullying, cost analysis of bullying, kinds of existing bullying, and cyber bullying in the workplace.
Utilizing a national sample of employees working in in the United States (U.S.), the results of this
study reveal that the participating employees attested to the existence of bullying in U.S.
organizations. Bullying is also a form of psychological harassment and a form of hostile
environment.
