ABSTRACT
Statistical concepts are very abstract in nature which makes teaching statistics to
business students a very challenging task and cannot be successfully accomplished by merely
using traditional teaching approaches. Many students prefer to see and feel the actual concepts in
action instead of having theoretical discussion about them. The Excel-based interactive tools
presented in this study are designed to visualize the concepts of confidence intervals and level of
confidence. The tools provide very user-friendly interface and can be successfully used by anyone
with little or no experience in Excel. This study introduces an Excel-based tools dedicated to the
visualization of the concepts of confidence intervals and the essence of the confidence level used
in the construction of confidence intervals for population means.
